MONDAY, AUGUST 4, 2025 Room & Zoom Meeting in Peacock Hall (Movie Theater) from 10 am to 12 pm.  Rossmoor EPO Meeting featuring Contra Costa County Fire Protection District's Public Education Coordinator Noell Crosse (County Fire) who will provide expertise in reducing risks of Rossmoor home fires, surviving home fires and operating fire extinguishers effectively.  Here is Noell Crosse's video presentation

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2025 - The Rossmoor EPO Emergency Preparedness Fair will be held in the Fireside Room at the Gateway Clubhouse from 10 am to 1:00 pm.  It is open to all residents, their families, and caretakers.  There will be door prizes with assorted gift cards and emergency supplies as prizes.  Light refreshments and nonalcoholic beverages will be served.  This is the first in-person Emergency Preparedness Fair since 2019 due the impact of COVID-19.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2025 Room & Zoom Meeting in Peacock Hall (Movie Theater) from 10 am to 12 pm.  Join Rossmoor Emergency Preparedness Organization (EPO) as they welcome International ShakeOut Drill Global Director Mark Benthien who will tutor our vulnerable senior community in earthquake safety and resiliency.  Learn how to “drop” down on your hands and knees, how to “cover” your head and neck with your arms while taking shelter under a sturdy desk or table and how to “hold on” until the shaking stops — and how to protect yourself until the shaking stops based on your physical abilities and mobility challenges.  Link to EPO slide deck.  Link to UNLISTED YouTube video.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2025 In-person Meeting in the Fireside Room.  Neighbors for Safer Streets Presents “Street Stories III”.  Doors open at 8:30 am, Program runs from 9 to 11 am.  This year’s Street Stories event will feature guest speakers, an intermission with coffee and breakfast snacks, and various organizations’ Information tables.  There will be information tables with representatives from Neighbors for Safer  Streets, Rossmoor Counseling Services, Walnut Creek Safe Travelers Pledge,  Mobility Matters, and the Rossmoor Emergency Preparedness Organization (EPO).

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2025 - New Resident's Fair In the Event Center, Tahoe Room From 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.  The fair is geared toward residents who have moved to Rossmoor since July 2024.  Residents will have an opportunity to learn about health and wellness programs through the Fitness Center and Counseling Services; recreational activities such as excursions, special events or concerts and activities; the roughly 200 clubs and organizations that they can join; and services such as transportation, Comcast, public safety, functions of Rossmoor Property Management (RPM) such as work orders and alterations; and the Rossmoor News and TV. There also will be bingo and drawings.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2025 Room & Zoom Meeting in Peacock Hall (Movie Theater) from 10 am to 12 pm.  Join the Rossmoor Emergency Preparedness Organization (EPO) for a presentation by Ron Halog, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for Independent Living Resources of Solano and Contra Costa counties.  He will walk Rossmoor residents through a clear, simple and easy way to get prepared for a major disaster or emergency in Rossmoor.  Ron Halog's handout brochure - Emergency Preparedness Guide from the California Department of Aging
